July 2nd, 2014… The 4th of July is just around the corner but I am already in quite a celebratory mood of independence. After all I just graduated from emergency medicine residency training. To make it even better I also started my ultrasound fellowship in Orlando, FL. I get to train with Steve Leech and I can officially admit to my advanced sono-philia without any eye rolling action! The Sunshine State is my new home, palm trees all around, Big Pond only 50 minutes away from my doorstep and Mickey in the backyard… To top it off I have 3 Starbucks kiosks right at the hospital campus… If that’s not enough „carpe diem” then I don’t know what is ;-).
Now, I am really thrilled about all the sono opportunities ahead of me. All the educational creation awaiting… For a start we are flying to NYC to attend the 2nd Annual Tri-State EUS Fellows Conference.
More news to follow but don’t forget to catch us at ACEP in Chicago in case you’d be interested in applying to this great ultrasound fellowship program. The whole crew should be there – just look for a gang of tan happy sono-philiacs, including myself, Hugo, Jill and Steve (the bald guy). Don’t hesitate to contact us in the meanwhile – stay tuned in and follow us on Twitter!
And last but not least – let’s meet @SonoRoundtable!
